Program Description: If you've ever wondered where stars come from or how turtle cracked his shell, Oneida storyteller, Debra Morningstar has a native legend just for you!! She engages her audiences in a lively and interactive format using an Indian Storybasket, hand drums, flute, and rattles. In culminating her presentation, she invites children, students, and families to join her in a Native American Friendship Dance.
Debra comes dressed in traditional Iroquois/Oneida regalia and provides a full collection of artifacts such as basketry, corn husk dolls, arrowheads, moccasins, and beadwork. |
 Debra also offers outstanding one and two-day Native Storyteller/Cultural Residencies teaching about Native American culture. She dismantles dangerous Native American stereotypes such as "Do you still kill people?" and "Do you still live in Tepees?" |

Program Description: Storytelling For Children: Mr. Otto has over 450 stories in his repertoire that appeal to all age groups, from preschoolers to high schoolers. Storytelling For Adults: Mr. Otto's demonstration of storytelling techniques throughout the event allows those in the audience to learn better communication skills. Mr. Otto also focuses on the importance of intergenerational storytelling as a means to share the stories of the past and to learn valuable lessons about the importance of our heritage.
